A Day Trip To Melbourne

Taking advantage of the summer weather, yes summer weather, we flew south to Melbourne. That's the original place not the colonial namesake.

The Norman church of  St Michael with St Mary is absolutely spectacular. The adjacent architecture and lake are, in themselves, worth a visit.

Lunch at a pub followed by the essential coffee and Victoria Sandwich rounded out the visit. The drive north along the A515 provided extensive views of Derbyshire which capped-off a delightful day.
